Ubisoft does Assassin’s Creed for VR – a fact. The game is subtitled Nexus – not a fact, but a rumor shared by insider Tom Henderson (Tom Henderson) along with other details.

Assassin’s Creed Nexus will offer the standard set of features of the series: stealth, open fights, pickpocketing, lock picking, parkour and even a leap of faith. You will play as familiar characters from different eras, including Ezio, Cassandra, Connor and Haytham.

There are 16 missions in total and a tutorial to help you master the controls. You can choose one of two types of movement (or a combination of them) – normal movement or teleportation.

The teleport is equipped with a special indicator that allows you to know your noise level in advance – the farther you teleport at a time, the higher the likelihood that opponents will hear you. For example, teleporting 10 meters will make a louder sound than teleporting 3 meters.

Nexus focuses on silent kills. To remove the hidden blade, you need to hold down the button and shake your wrist. Unsuspecting guards die in one hit, and it takes several attacks to stealth kill disturbed enemies.

Head-on collisions are standard for playing in virtual reality. Opponents die from four to six swings of the sword, but usually one blow to the head is enough.

Besides, in Nexus relatively many doors and chests that can be broken into – in the form of a mini-game.

As for the leap of faith, fans of the franchise will appreciate it, eyewitnesses say. “Standing in a T-pose, falling off a building into a haystack seems to be a very cool experience (just make sure you don’t fall face down on the floor in real life),” Henderson jokes.

This is not a Nexus, but a location from Assassin’s Creed Unity in Blade & Sorcery.

Henderson believes that Nexus Might be a great VR game. Also, due to the similarity of genres, it is now clear how it will be played Splinter Cell for virtual reality, the insider notes.

VR versions Assassin’s Creed and Splinter Cell announced in September 2020 exclusively for Oculus. Both games are developed from scratch by the studio Red Storm with the support of Ubisoft Reflections, Ubisoft Dusseldorf and Ubisoft Mumbai. There are no other official details about entertainment yet.

As Henderson’s sources suggest, Assassin’s Creed Nexus will be released within 12 months.
